Greenstar CEO Matt Delnick Appointed to Keep Texas Beautiful Board of Directors

HOUSTON (June 24, 2010) - Greenstar North America is pleased to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Matt Delnick, was appointed to the Keep Texas Beautiful Board of Directors during the organization's annual conference at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center on the University of Texas campus. In his role as Board Member on the Keep Texas Beautiful board, he will volunteer his time to further the mission of Keep Texas Beautiful to educate and engage Texans to take responsibility for improving their community environment with a focus on litter prevention, beautification and waste reduction.

"I am honored to be working with such a prestigious group of individuals who are dedicated to building a better environment and community in our great state for future generations to enjoy," said Delnick. "Keep Texas Beautiful's mission aligns closely with ours in that we both strive to be responsible and good stewards of our environment, and we must understand the need to act now to preserve our natural resources."

Keep Texas Beautiful is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that coordinates litter prevention and beautification activities statewide.  

Greenstar recently teamed up with Keep Austin Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful, for the 25th annual citywide Clean Sweep event in April, where Greenstar employees took part in a number of clean-up projects around Austin. Greenstar also partnered with Keep Houston Beautiful in March, when Houston residents helped plant 600 trees and create a two-acre native garden in Wiess Park as part of the Esplanade Beautification project.
