Greenstar is part of a broader environmental solution to preserve our resources, secure our energy supply, and reduce climate change.

We reduce emissions through recycling and help our customers do the same. By recycling two million tons per year, Greenstar reduces emissions by over six million Metric Tons of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent (MTCO₂E).

That is the emissions equivalent of removing over a million cars from our nation's roads each year.

Greenstar is recognized as an EPA Climate Leader and has participated in the program since 2007. Each year, Greenstar voluntarily reports its carbon emissions and has established a goal to reduce overall emissions from operations by 10% over five years. Our primary method for reductions will come from energy efficiencies at the facilities, the use of biodiesel in transport and overall vigilance and awareness of efficiently using and reducing the use of electricity, oil, natural gas and other fuels.
